A Very Busy Weekend!

Hello Again! I just had a crazy weekend! Most of it self-inflicted, I know, but still very busy. We have had a wedding planned for this weekend for quite sometime. It is about an hour away. So we knew ahead of time this weekend was going to have some travel time. Well, on Friday morning my husband calls me and says that he has a job in Chicago and that it is probably a small job and he might make it back in time for the wedding. So I got to thinking 'oh lets just be spontaneous and go with him.' Well, I can't really take my kids on a three-four hour car ride without some help so I thought my mother-in-law would like to come as well. So I called her and said 'how soon can you be packed, we are going to Chicago!' While all the while we are talking with my sister-in-law (who is moving back to FL this week) and discussing with her our plans. Her husbands say 'hey why don't you go with them?' (and keep in mind all three families are attending this wedding) Why not add a little more to an already busy weekend. So about four o'clock on Friday we left for Chicago. Isaac drove his work truck and Heather rode with him. Isaac's mother and I took the babies in my SUV. We arrived in Chicago about 7:30 our time 6:30 their's. We had so much fun, Zeke had his first dip in a pool and got to try out his new swim trunks and Avie had a blast too! We stayed up late remembering goofy stories and laughing our tails off. Then in the morning Isaac went off to the job and Heather, Momo, the babies and I all started to pack up the stuff and preparing for the drive home. We all left around 11:15 or so and got back to Fort Wayne in time for me to run around like a crazy person taking my shower and preparing the kids. Not to mention my sister and brother-in-law dropping by to drop off my computer that He so wonderful worked on and fixed for me! They were a blessing and helped with Zeke while I finished getting ready. Then we headed off for the wedding. The wedding was beautiful. We got back to our house at around 11:15 or so. As if our weekend wasn't busy enough, I also had to prepare for a dinner we were having to say goodbye to the Hancsaks, after church on Sunday. So after Sunday Church we had a going away dinner. It was a BEAUTIFUL Day and we all sat outside and ate our lunch and enjoyed everyone's company. It was sooo much fun! Then my husband says to me 'why don't we just stay and have a bon fire tonight. ' So yes, yes, we added yet another thing to our weekend. Isaac's mom went and got hot dogs and marshmello's and everything we would need to have a good bon fire. And we invited everyone to come back and play games and have fun. Which we did!! But I was well ready to come home and sleep by the time we left. It was a very full weekend but I enjoyed every minute!
