Sorry, I post so infrequently, I was just wondering if anyone even still checked it? Sometimes I can't think of anything to blog about or sometimes I just think that it won't really be interesting enough for someone to read. Well, anyhow since I am typing anyways, I will tell you a story that happened to me recently!!
I posted (probably sometime in June) about getting rear-ended! Well, everything went down just fine....car is fixed life....is a back to normal......then I get a note from the Indiana BMV, stating that my driving privileges had been suspended on 8/27/07, because I had not provided proof of insurance for the accident that occured on 6/15.
On the day of the accident I pulled out everything that I needed and gave it to the police officer. I had my license, the registration to my Envoy, and my proof of insurance. He told me everything was fine and that I could go. So when I got this notice I was dumb-founded! I called the the number on the paper and they said that whenever you are in an accident or get a ticket you have to call your insurance company and have them send out a "Certificate of Compliance" to the state. Okay, I know that the state has to have rules and everything but what is the point of carrying proof of insurance if your insurance company has to reprove it later???? Anyhow, so I call my insurance company and they sent the paper. Then I got to thinking I wonder how long it takes for them to reinstate me? So I call back and the lady tells me it could take 3 to 7 days for me to be reinstated once they recieve the paper work from my insurance! Let me tell you that did not make me very happy! But I stayed in peace...and tried my best not to "loose" it. I was scared crapless to drive all of Labor Day weekend fearing getting pulled over and loosing my license or getting some outragous fine...so I made Isaac drive all weekend. Praise God he was home!! But to wrap up...I called this morning and I am now, once again, a valid driver! So I went and did all kinds of running today. But just for those of you reading this...make a mental note...even if the accident is not your fault and you "already" proved to the officer that you had insurance....go ahead and have your insurance company send out this goofy paper anyhow!! To be on the safe side and not to get your license suspended!!

I thought that the state sent you the paper and then you send it to you insurance company who sends it to the BMV. That kind of happened to me. My insurance company messed up on my vin number on the paper so they suspended my lisense until I had it all figured out.
I still check your blog but I don't think you ever check my blog. I blog about once a week. I also have flickr on my blog.
Wow! That stinks! I've never had to do that before.
I check your blog. I've been reading about your prayer and a road trip A LOT!
I hear you about not knowing what to post though. Sometimes I don't know what to blog about either.

That is *so* weird! I wonder whether New York has a similar law? Thank goodness we haven't had a car accident here. Hey ~ I read your blog all the time! Everyone has stories to tell ... and I'm glad that you have started a blog!
