All week we had planned a motorcycle ride with my mom and step-dad. Well, on Friday we found out that our babysitter we had lined up wasn't going to work out. So that led to frantic searching to find a last minute sitter for the next day. We tried a couple of my sister's who both were willing but unable to for different totally understandable reasons. So finally I had Isaac call a friend of ours and they agreed. It was so sweet.
Isaac didn't get off of work until 12:30 and I wasn't able to drop the kids off until 12:00 so we didn't leave the house until around 1:00. We met up with Mom about 15-20 minutes later at Applebee's. (side-note) I ordered a ( ? spelling) casadea burger, at the suggestion of my step-dad. It was SO YUMMY!!! I highly recommend it!! Anyhow, along with my mom and step-dad, there was my Aunt Jan, who has her own motorcycle, my Aunt Penny, who also has her own, and my Uncle Rick. So there where five bikes total. It was so cool. After we finished lunch we finally headed out on the road. John, my step-dad, had been wanting to take us all to this little town in Ohio called Grand Rapids. It has cute little shops and a place where you can go and look at the dam, and all kinds of beautiful scenery. We drove the scenic route to get there (ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!), but over 100 miles. My butt hurt like you wouldn't believe when we finally reached our destination, and we were only half done with our day!! Well, needless to say the town was incredibly neat! We very much enjoyed seeing all the cool little shops. We even got ice cream from an old fashion ice cream shoppe. It was so funny...the sign in the window said..."Old Fashion Ice Cream Shoppe, and Mexican Food" We all had a good laugh about that. But the ice cream was yummy! After John showed us a couple of other cool spots we all loaded back up and started to head for home. We only made it about 10-15 miles and we all decided it was time to put on some layers. It had gotten a lot cooler as the sun was going down. The ride home, I tried to add a little cushion to my seat by sitting on an extra jacket that John let me borrow. It helped for about the first 40 miles, but after that I was hurting again. By the time we made it home Isaac and I couldn't get off the bike fast enough. It was so funny and not funny, all at the same time!! I think if the whole ride would have been 100 miles, I probably would have enjoyed it more...but a total of over 200 was too much for my tooshie!! We didn't end up picking up the kids until about 8:45. It made for a really long but really gorgeous day!!

I'm glad you got to go.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A WONDERFUL TIME EXCEPT THE TOOSHIE THING. I'M WITH BRANDEE GLAD SOME ONE WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE KIDS. IT'S ALWAYS HARD TO FIND SOME ONE LAST MINUTE
That sounds like soooo much fun. Paul has talked about getting another bike someday. Reading this makes me want to encourage him!
