On Thursday evening we picked up Isaac's neice Gabby from the Fort Wayne Airport. It was so much fun having her with us this weekend. She flew in for the home school dance on Friday night. She was very involved with the home school programs while she lived here, and still has many friends here. So they invited her to come. She looked so pretty. I did her hair and she loved it! I was so glad it turned out well. On Saturday we all went to play Putt Putt Golf. It was *so* much fun. Avie was a complete riot to watch. She loved it. We let her do whatever it took to get the ball in the hole. She would get so excited every time it went in. It was great! Zeke liked it to but by the end he was getting very tired and ready for a nap. He fell asleep in the car after we left. Then that night, one of my good friends agreed to watch Zeke while Isaac, Gabby, Avie Grace and I went to see a movie. (Thanks again, Abby!) We saw Nim's Island. It was really cute. Avie was in awe of the great big screen. She was so cute. She was in her heighth of glory....movie and snacks...plus pop. So needless to say I had an awesome day.....not only the great time I had doing everything and spending time with our family...but getting to see Avie Grace try two new things in one day. She is just at a perfectly fun age right now. I love it.
On Sunday we had a cookout at our Pastor's house for everyone involved with the worship team and their families. It was a great time. They had a volleyball game going and all kinds of fun stuff for the kids to play outside. Avie spent most of her time getting completely dirty in the sand box. She had a blast. Zeke liked just wandering around exploring new things and loving on Pastor's dog. Later in the party they started a bon fire and most of us sat around chatting while some of the others played football. Of course my husband got in on the football. He loves it. It tried to start sprinkling a few times but held off and never rained. Which we all appreciated.
We dropped Gabby off at the airport today a little before five o'clock. It was kind of a bummer to see her go. We so enjoyed having her with us. but she was pretty ready to go home....plus her momma missed her.
It made for a busy weekend but very, very fun! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Have a great week!
Oh, side note! I am so bummed to say that my camera has died. At first the screen quit working but now I can't even get it to take a picture. I am so sad. :-( I love taking pictures. Isaac said we will probably buy one before we go to FL at the end of May. Which made me feel a little better. So pray we find a good one for a low price!
